PRESIDENT TRUMP TAKES THE LEAD ON HEALTHCARE
NEW YORK, NY – With President Donald Trump’s new executive order on healthcare, Americans are reminded that the President will take the lead on replacing Obamacare in every way possible despite the failure of Congress to repeal this disastrous policy. The executive order will apply free market principles by easing rules on small businesses to join forces to buy health insurance together, lifting restrictions on short-term health insurance plans, and opening up the use of tax-advantaged Health Reimbursement Accounts to pay for health insurance premiums.
Commenting on President Trump’s leadership on healthcare, Michael S. Glassner, Executive Director of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., said:
“Despite their tremendous disappointment in Congress for failing to repeal and replace Obamacare, Americans are reminded today that they can rely on President Trump to do everything possible to fix this debacle by implementing free-market solutions through executive actions.
“With his announcement today, the President is making a down payment on the Republican’s pledge to repeal and replace Obamacare, and demonstrating the necessary leadership to give Americans relief from skyrocketing health insurance costs until Congress can get its job done. Small businesses across the nation will now be able to buy health insurance more competitively, and many Americans will finally begin to see their health insurance costs reduced.
“The sooner Republicans in Congress follow President Trump’s lead on healthcare, tax reform, and other urgent issues, the sooner Americans can overcome the disastrous economic policies of the past decade, especially middle class families, and enjoy unprecedented growth.”
