BUSTED: Iowa GOP County Leader Sends DeSantis Super PAC Cease-and-Desist Letter for Faking Grassroots Support

June 29, 2023

Bedminster, NJ— According to a new report from The Messenger, the Muscatine County, Iowa GOP sent a certified letter to Ron DeSantis' Super PAC accusing the group of "unlawful and unethical collaboration."

Unable to generate grassroots support organically, DeSantis' Super PAC has allegedly been bussing paid supporters in to attend DeSantis events... except, according to the Muscatine GOP letter, some of the paid supporters aren't even from the state of Iowa.

"He is the first presidential candidate that is going out and buying and paying for representation … he's not building a grassroots organization,” Muscatine County GOP Chairman Daniel Freeman said. “And it could very well be that he uses Never Back Down because he can’t garner state support from individual residents in Iowa. Therein lies the problem."

"He is misleading the public of Iowa by sending busloads of people to a parade and they don't even live in the area and in fact, most of them don't even live in the state of Iowa.”
