Trump: Iran Nuke Talks Should Have Taken One Day
As talks on the fate of Iran's nuclear program come down to the final days before a crucial deadline, Iranian negotiators have reportedly backed away from a tentative agreement to send most of their uranium to Russia, throwing a new obstacle into the negotiations.
Donald Trump said on "Fox and Friends" that this twist would lead to him walking away from the negotiation table.
"It's a one-day deal," Trump said. "This whole thing should have taken a day."
He said the U.S. representatives in the talks, led by Secretary of State John Kerry, have no idea how to negotiate.
"They're incompetent. They have no idea what they're doing," Trump asserted. "The worst thing you can do is sign a bad deal. Walk from a deal, put the sanctions on, whatever you have to do. You can't let them have a nuclear weapon."
Trump also weighed in on the latest developments in the 2016 presidential race.
