Beijing Biden’s Op-Ed Repeats Chinese Government’s Talking Points

Joe Biden just can’t stop siding with China.

Biden’s latest op-ed is definitely not about holding China accountable for unleashing the coronavirus against the world. Instead, Biden is spending his time defending China by attacking President Trump for using the phrase “Chinese virus” to fight back against China’s massive disinformation campaign.

Biden again falsely accuses President Trump of “stoking xenophobia” and “encouraging racism” – just as he did on January 31 when President Trump announced restrictions on travel from China to combat the coronavirus.

Along with Kamala Harris, Tammy Duckworth, and other Senate Democrats, Biden is repeating talking points straight from the Chinese government, which has spent months waging a massive disinformation campaign to deflect blame for its cover-up of the virus. It’s remarkable to see Biden’s rhetoric match China’s state run media propaganda virtually word for word.

President Trump began using the phrase “Chinese virus” to counter China’s disinformation campaign, including its accusation that the U.S. military started the coronavirus. Joe Biden did nothing to defend our men and women in uniform from China’s smears.

President Trump also repeatedly defended Asian Americans, clearly stating that “the virus is not their fault”:

  • It’s very important that we totally protect our Asian American community in the United States and all around the world. They’re amazing people and the spreading of the virus is not their fault in any way shape or form. They’re working closely with us to get rid of it. We will prevail, together.”

Ironically, Biden was savaged by his own supporters for stoking xenophobia and encouraging racism against Asians with his campaign ads. Now Biden – whose advisors also used the phrase “Wuhan virus” before his campaign absurdly called it a “racial slur” – is trying to make up for it.

Beijing Biden has never stood up to China and he never will. After nearly half a century as a career politician in Washington, Biden is used to siding with globalist elites who are more concerned about placating the rest of the world than putting America first.
