FBI Records Prove Joe Biden Lied About His Role in Targeting Michael Flynn
Damning handwritten notes from corrupt FBI official Peter Strzok in early January 2017 indicate that it was then-Vice President Joe Biden who suggested targeting General Michael Flynn using the Logan Act. Days later, someone in the Obama Administration carried out a criminal leak about Flynn and the Logan Act to The Washington Post, supercharging the Russia collusion hoax and undermining the peaceful transition of power.
Biden has lied about his involvement in the targeting of Flynn from the start. In May, he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, “I know nothing about those moves to investigate Michael Flynn.” Reminded he was in a January 5, 2017, Oval Office meeting with President Obama and the FBI Director that focused specifically on investigating Flynn, Biden conceded, “I was aware ... but that's all I know.”
Then MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell asked Biden, “What was your involvement in the investigation of Michael Flynn and the FBI investigation of Michael Flynn?” Biden was very slippery, answering a different question than the one he was asked. “I was never a part or had any knowledge of any criminal investigation into Flynn while I was in office, period. Not one single time,” Biden said. Of course, the investigation into Flynn was a counterintelligence investigation, not a criminal investigation – and Biden knows that.
Recently unclassified records show a request to unmask General Michael Flynn’s identity was made in Joe Biden’s name on January 12, 2017. The power to unmask is one that then-Senator Joe Biden took very seriously – he once equated misusing it to “spying.”
“The media portrayed both Obama and Biden as uninvolved [in the Flynn matter]. But now we know they both actively followed the investigation,” wrote legal expert Jonathan Turley.
If Strzok’s handwritten notes are any indication, Joe Biden didn’t just follow it – he actively directed it. When will he tell the truth about his actions?
