Joe Biden Says Nothing As Police Officers Attacked By Rioters
President Trump has made clear that he stands with the majority of Americans who both support the peaceful protesters "sickened and revolted" by George Floyd's killing and the use of the National Guard and the U.S. military to put an end to the violence. Joe Biden, meanwhile barely summoned the courage for "half a breath" condemning the carnage in the streets brought on by liberal Democrats unwilling to protect their citizens.
But Biden hasn't said a single word on one of the most horrific aspects of the bloodshed: attacks by rioters and looters, sometimes fatal, on police officers in the line of duty protecting innocent Americans.
President Trump tweeted his respects last night for David Dorn, a Black 77-year-old former police captain who was murdered on the streets of St. Louis trying to stop looters. But Joe Biden has remained silent not just about Dorn's murder, but about the numerous assaults on police officers as the rioters rage on:
- Police officer Dave Patrick Underwood was shot and killed while watching over a protest in Oakland.
- A police officer was shot in the head in Las Vegas and remains in grave condition.
- Two police officers were injured in Brooklyn after getting shot at.
- Four police officers were shot in St. Louis.
- Multiple rioters assaulted a police officer in the Bronx while onlookers cheered them on.
- An SUV "plowed through" a line of officers in Buffalo, injuring two.
- An SUV filled with suspected looters rammed a police officer in Greenwich.
Joe Biden did manage to sneak in a line about police officers: he all but accused them of being responsible for the riots and "escalating tension."
There's a reason why under Biden's watch race relations in America hit "the highest level of discord since the 1992 riots in Los Angeles during the Rodney King case." Now he is reinventing himself as America's racial healer, hoping Americans forget his long record of inflammatory words and discriminatory policies. America's police officers are under attack, and Biden's silence only reminds voters why he is too much of a failure to handle this crisis.
Our highest respect to the family of David Dorn, a Great Police Captain from St. Louis, who was viciously shot and killed by despicable looters last night. We honor our police officers, perhaps more than ever before. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/0ouUpoJEQ4
