Poll: Nearly half of voters approve of Melania, Ivanka Trump
Nearly half of voters have a favorable view of President Donald Trump's wife and his eldest daughter, according to a new poll.
A Politico/Morning Consult poll released early Wednesday finds 47 percent of voters have a favorable view of Melania Trump while 32 percent have an unfavorable view of the first lady.
Forty-nine percent of voters have a favorable view of Ivanka Trump while just 30 percent have an unfavorable opinion.
The poll finds though just 43 percent of women approve of the president's job in his first few days of office and 41 percent of women disapprove.
Melania Trump's favorability ratings have increased since her speech at the Republican National Convention. A poll conducted after the event showed she was viewed favorably by just 42 percent of voters.
Ivanka Trump's ratings have stayed relatively steady. Her approval rating is down just 1 point since a poll conducted following the GOP convention.
The poll also finds 51 percent of voters want Melania Trump to take an active role in the president's administration and 45 percent want the same of Ivanka Trump.
The poll was conducted from Jan. 20 to Jan. 22 among 1,992 registered voters. The margin of error is 2 percent.
Melania Trump and her son, Barron, will live in New York City until he ends his school year.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, relocated with their family to Washington, D.C., where Kushner is serving as a senior adviser in the White House.
