Supporter invited on stage, gives Trump a big hug

President Trump invited an avid supporter of his to join him on stage during his rally Saturday at Melbourne, Fla.

Trump invited the man to the stage, pointing to him mid-speech, saying he saw him on TV saying he loves the president.

Though it seemed as though Secret Service initially blocked his way to the stage, he quickly made his way up and hugged the president when he got there.

The man, whose name reportedly is Gene Huber, claimed to have been waiting in line to see Trump live at the event that was scheduled to start at 5:20 p.m. since 4 a.m. He wore a black Inauguration Day shirt emblazoned with Trump's name and face.

The president then let him speak a few words:

"Mr. President. Thank you sir. We the people — our movement is the reason why our president of the United States is standing here in front of us today. When President Trump, during the election, promised all these things that he was going to do for us, I knew he was going to this for us."

Afterwards, the two shook hands, and when Trump retook the podium, he said, "A star is born," resulting in a round of cheers.
