Top Trump Administration Officials Slam John Bolton’s Book of Lies

As John Bolton betrays America for money, top Trump Administration officials are slamming his self-promotional stunt and fictional, fabricated claims. U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth’s ruling didn’t mince words either. He wrote that “Bolton has gambled with the national security of the United States. He has exposed his country to harm and himself to civil (and potentially criminal) liability.”

In addition to the Democrats slamming self-admitted liar Bolton for putting profits first, here’s what Trump Administration officials are saying:

  • Secretary of State Mike Pompeo: “John Bolton is spreading a number of lies, fully-spun half-truths, and outright falsehoods. It is both sad and dangerous that John Bolton’s final public role is that of a traitor who damaged America by violating his sacred trust with its people.”

  • U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer:Absolutely untrue, never happened. I was there, I have no recollection of that ever happening. I don't believe it's true, I don't believe it ever happened.”

  • U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin: “The excerpts of John Bolton’s book that I have reviewed are full of lies and factual inaccuracies… John Bolton has put self-promotion ahead of the truth and of the interests of the country.”

  • National Security Agency Director General Paul Nakasone: “I have determined that the unauthorized disclosure of the classified information in the draft manuscript reasonably could be expected to result in exceptionally grave damage to the national security of the United States.”

  • U.S. Special Envoy for Northern Ireland Mick Mulvaney: “I cringed… to watch the betrayal of confidence last night by John Bolton. It was really a classless display… Clearly John Bolton doesn’t have any [honor] left.”

  • White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro: “[H]e was absolutely giddy at the prospect of a coup in Venezuela, it was weird. I’m thinking to myself, wait a minute, this is a serious, serious matter, and he’s giddy. There’s something wrong with that dude. He’s doing it for the money… He got fired because he did not obey the chain of command, because his views were totally out of sync with President Donald J. Trump with respect to how to handle international affairs.”

  • Former Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “Either John Bolton was lying during his time in ‘the room where it happened’ when he regularly praised @realDonaldTrump, or he’s lying now. Read my account of Bolton, a man drunk with power.”
