Unleashing America’s Energy Dominance

May 10, 2023

President Donald J. Trump achieved American energy independence for the first time in nearly 70 years, lowering costs for consumers, and creating thousands of American jobs. Joe Biden has demolished America’s energy independence through radical policies, excessive regulation, and anti-fossil fuel fiction.

In 2020, the U.S. Department of Energy projected that American consumers wouldn’t see gasoline prices over five dollars a gallon until the year 2040.[1] Clearly, their report failed to factor Joe Biden and his energy-killing policies into their projections.

In reality, gasoline prices doubled in Joe Biden’s first two years in office[2], and diesel prices increased 75%.[3]

Under Biden, Americans suffered the highest national average price of gasoline ever recorded in American history.[4] The current national average for gas prices sits around $3.52.[5]

Under Biden, the average cost for residential heating oil hit $4.56 per gallon, an increase of 95% since taking office.[6] Natural gas prices have risen 28%, and electricity prices have climbed 10% from last winter.[7]

On Biden’s first day in office, he killed the Keystone XL pipeline, crippling the American energy sector.

Not long after, the Biden was forced to beg OPEC to increase oil production to combat the historic costs.

Biden’s own party is getting tired of his lack of energy production. Sen. Joe Manchin ripped the administration for ignoring federal law that requires fossil fuel and critical mineral development.[8]

In March 2023, the Biden administration announced that it is blocking 16 million acres of federal land and water in Alaska from future fossil fuel drilling.[9]

The Trump Administration led the United States to become the number one producer of oil in the world while maintaining America’s position as the number one natural gas producer.

WATCH: Agenda47: President Trump on Making America Energy Independent Again

The year 2019 marked the first time in 67 years that American annual gross energy exports exceeded gross energy imports.[10]

The United States supplied 16% of the world’s oil and 21% of the world’s natural gas—more than any other country.[11] Under President Trump’s watch, Americans enjoyed gas prices as low as $1.77 per gallon.[12]

The Trump administration cut energy regulations that lowered energy costs and unlocked new investments for American energy producers and consumers.[13] As a result, the average American family saved $2,500 a year in lower electric bills.[14]

President Trump approved the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, opening federal lands and offshore areas for responsible oil and gas production, and ending the unfair and costly Paris Climate Accord.[15]

In 2019, America achieved the largest decline in carbon emissions of any country on Earth. Since withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, the United States has reduced carbon emissions more than any nation.[16]

While unleashing the full power of America’s energy sector, the Trump administration Recovered more endangered or threatened species than any other administration in its first term.[17]

President Trump’s America First energy policies not only saved Americans money, but it also strengthened our national security and made the world a safer place. As American energy broke new barriers, OPEC and Russia cut their own energy production by nearly 10 million barrels per day, stabilizing global oil markets.[18]

President Trump’s energy successes enabled countries around the world to buy from the United States instead of hostile nations that manipulate energy prices as a means of political obedience.[19]

President Trump will unleash the production of domestic energy resources, reduce the soaring price of gasoline, diesel, and natural gas, promote energy security for our friends around the world, eliminate the socialist Green New Deal and ensure the United States is never again at the mercy of a foreign supplier of energy.

President Trump has promised to protect the American energy sector from China and will ban Chinese companies from owning any vital infrastructure, including energy, technology, communications, farmland, medical supplies, minerals, and other strategic national assets.

President Trump has also proposed forcing the Chinese to sell any current holdings that jeopardize America’s national security.
